Roast Garlic Bread
I first had this delicious roast garlic appetiser at the Stinking Rose restaurant in San Francisco. They call it “Bagna Calda”, but it’s not the same as the Italian dish Bagna Cauda.

Ingredients
  • 200 g (7 oz) garlic cloves, peeled
  • 50 g (2 oz) tin of anchovy fillets, chopped.
  • 50 g (2 oz) butter
  • 200 ml (7 fl oz) olive oil
Instructions
  1. Place all the ingredients in a casserole dish and bake in an oven at 140°C for about 1½ hours.
  2. Serve with fresh crusty bread.
Titli's Tips
To eat, simply spread the garlic onto a piece of bread and enjoy! If you really like it, keep the leftover oil in a jar for the next time.
