Kentucky Fried Potatoes

You can use the KFC mix of herbs and spices to make some awesome Kentucky Fried Potatoes! Just don't eat too many...
Ingredients
  • 400 g (14 oz) potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 6 tbsp plain (AP) flour
For the KFC mix
  • 75 g plain (AP) flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp sage
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
  1. This couldn't be easier: Toss the potatoes in the flour, making sure they are well coated.
  2. For each potato slice; dunk in the beaten egg, toss in the KFC mix then drop into hot oil at 180°C/360°F and fry for 10 minutes.
  3. Drain and serve!

Titli's Tips
Slice the potatoes about 5 mm (¼") thick. These make a great accompaniment to any meal in place of regular chips (fries)
