Tuna Pasta Sauce
This delicious tuna pasta sauce recipe is quick and simple and can be used with just about any type of pasta. Once cooked, never forgotten!

Ingredients
  • 160 g (6 oz) can of tuna in brine
  • 400 g (14 oz) tin of chopped tomatoes
  • 2-3 tbsp capers
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • Grated parmesan to serve
Instructions
  1. Heat the oil in a pan and stir-fry the garlic for 30 seconds.
  2. Add the chopped tomatoes and mix well.
  3. Add the oregano, salt and ground black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Add the tuna. Turn the heat down and leave to simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Add the capers and simmer for a further 5 minutes before serving with the pasta of your choice.
Titli's Tips
You can use tinned tomatoes, fresh tomatoes or passata. If you don't like capers used chopped black olives instead.

This sauce goes well with any kind of pasta, but I tend to use it with thin pasta such as spaghetti, fettuccine or linguine.
