Pasta with Bacon and Chard
I grow chard in my garden and this quick and simple supper is so tasty you'll want to make it again and again!

Instructions
- Take the chard and tear the leaves from the stalks. Slice the chard stalks crossways.
- Heat the oil in a pan and stri-fry the shallots for about 2 minutes.
- Add the crushed garlic, stir and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the bacon and stir-fry for around 3-4 minutes until the bacon has taken on colour.
- Add the chopped chard stalks and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
- Begin cooking the pasta according to the instruction on the packet.
- Season well with salt and pepper then tear the chard leaves into the pan.
- Spread the leaves out, cover and cook gently for 3-4 minutes.
- Stir the mixture, cover then cook gently for a further 3-4 minutes.
- Drain the pasta and mix well with the bacon and chard melange!
- Serve.

Serve with a green salad if you wish.
