Electricity Access for Bulasat Health Center in South Pagai District, Mentawai Island, West Sumatra
Our foundation had a great collaboration with PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero), and support from various organizations including Ecoxyztem Venture Builder, the local Health Department, Puskesmas Bulasat, and Warung Energi (PT Bina Lintas Usaha) to build an electricity access for health center in South Pagai District in 2023. Bulasat Health Center faces significant challenges with its electricity supply. The power is often unstable and insufficient, leading to frequent outages. This impacts the health center's operations, as it does not have a consistent 24-hour electricity supply. Despite these challenges, the Emergency Unit (UGD) at the health center continues to operate around the clock, indicating a commitment to providing continuous emergency care even under difficult circumstances.
