Chicken Tikka
Chicken Tikka is such a classic appetiser and is also used in Britain’s favourite dish – Chicken Tikka Masala! It is so easy to make, so go and make some!!!!

Ingredients
  • 2 chicken breasts cut into pieces
  • 150 g (5 fl oz) plain yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp of chopped coriander
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions
  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Allow to marinate for at least 2 hours.
  2. Remove the chicken pieces and place on a grill tray lined with aluminium foil.
  3. Cook the chicken under a hot grill for about 20 minutes. Turn every 5 minutes and baste with the leftover marinade.
  4. Once the chicken starts to go black at the edges, the chicken is done! Eat, or use for a tikka masala dish.

The great thing about chicken tikka is that you can keep it in the fridge for quite a while. It has more uses than just a simple curry. Slice it and use as a pizza topping or put it in your sandwiches!
