Perfect Basmati Rice

The great thing about this way of cooking basmati rice is that you don’t need to weigh or measure anything. All you need is a timer. This method has NEVER failed me!
  • Basmati rice
  1. Soak the rice in a bowl of cold water for 20-25 minutes. Drain.
  2. Place the rice in a pan into a pan of water. Make sure there is plenty of water in the pan.
  3. Add in any spices you may want to add. Bring the pan to the boil and simmer for 2 minutes.
  4. Drain the rice and return it to the warm pan. Cover and leave for 5 minutes.
  5. Fluff up the rice and serve.
