Croutons (Cheese and Herb)

Use up stale bread to make croutons for soups or salads.
  • 60 g (2 oz) stale bread cut into cubes
  • 1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp mixed herbs
  1. Put all the ingredients into a large bowl and mix well.
  2. Spread the croutons in a baking tray and bake at 180°C for 10 minutes. Allow to cool.

Titli's Tips
Add a little more oil if the herbs and cheese are not sticking to the bread. The croutons will keep for weeks in an airtight container and can be used with soups or salads.
