Keema Curry
Author: sCu4LUD25I4
Keema curry is another simple and delicious way to cook mince. It’s a meal in a pan and reminds me of a spicy cottage pie. Except it’s not a pie. And it has nothing to do with cottages.
  • 450 g (1 lb) minced meat (beef or lamb)
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 medium potatoes, cubed
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • ½ cup frozen peas
  • ½ cup chopped coriander
  • 2 green chillis, chopped
  • 2 tsp garlic & ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp ghee or vegetable oil
Spice Mix
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp tumeric
  1. Combine the meat with the garlic & ginger paste and the Spice Mix and put to one side.
  2. Heat the ghee in a pan and fry the onions until golden brown.
  3. Add in the meat and stir-fry on a medium heat for 5-10 minutes to brown the meat.
  4. Add in the tomatoes, potatoes and chillis. Cover and cook on a low heat for 10-15 minutes until the potatoes are almost done.
  5. Add in the peas and cook for a further 5 minutes with the lid off.
  6. Stir in the coriander and serve.

Titli's Tips
The curry should be dry with very little gravy. Delicious with roti or chapatti and some raita.
