Cheesy Sausage and Beans
A quick and tasty supper which is both hearty and inexpensive.
Ingredients
1 tin of baked beans (400 g /14 oz)
200 g (7 oz) of sausage or salami or weiners or…
100 g (3½ oz) grated cheese
2 tsp vegetable oil
Worcestershire sauce
Method
| 1 | Heat the oil in a pan and brown the sausage for 5-10 minutes. |
| 2 | Pour in the beans and stir. Add in a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce and heat the mixture for about 3 minutes to heat the beans through. |
| 3 | Transfer the mixture to a dish (or keep it in the pan if you prefer!), sprinkle the cheese on top and place under a grill for about 5 minutes to melt and brown the cheese. |
Titli’s Tips
This is a very simple but tasty meal for the most inexperienced of cooks. You can vary the taste by varying the sausage you use. This is a regular Sunday night supper in our house!
